Dear Reader,

As Space Shuttle Atlantis successfully returned from its final mission to the International Space Station earlier this year, I was reflecting on how quickly the world assimilates every technological advance that makes its way into our awareness. The tablet and Smartphone each have more computing power than the first moon landing vehicles, but are now wirelessly enabling us to see live pictures from the other side of the world.

As a result, we tend to take the global nature of our world for granted, so perhaps you have noticed that we are no longer DJO Inc, but DJO Global.

The Greek poet Homer wrote "How vain, without the merit, is the name". So whilst some might think that changing our name might be a sign of vanity, it is actually a mark of the progress that we have made over the last three years around the world. Our new corporate slogan, Together in Motion , echoes the strong connection between DJO Global, the health care professionals we serve and our desire to help them and their patients embrace life at every stage and every age.

Like our patients, the world doesn't stand still, so in this newsletter we hope to give you a snapshot of recent events in our world. Whilst our rebranding has been taking place, our technical innovations have continued apace with the release of Compex Wireless and our ongoing developments with our Aircast range such as the new Air-Stirrup II. As ever, we remain committed to listening and learning from our customers to help us continue to create novel solutions and continually strive for product excellence and performance. Your feedback is always welcome.

Best wishes
