Adaptable edema-management sock 

Designed for post-operative and post-traumatic care, the DonJoy® Sonov™ edema-management sock helps reduce swelling and support recovery following foot injury or surgery. Its three-zone construction delivers targeted support where it is most needed - at the forefoot and midfoot - while maintaining comfort and ease of application.

The removable anterior section allows clinicians and patients to adapt the sock for ventilation or inspection without compromising therapeutic support.

Intended use/Indications

The Sonov edema-management sock is intended to be used following post-operative or post-traumatic edema.

  • The sock consists of three distinct zones:
    • The front section (the cup), located over the toes, is a flexible, non-compressive section. It can be removed using a patented system of cutable threads, allowing the toes to breathe
    • The middle section, the support zone, is located at the forefoot and midfoot, where post-operative edema appears. This zone helps reduce swelling through compression
    • The back section, located over the ankle and malleoli, is non-compressive. Wider and more flexible, it helps to avoid a tourniquet effect and allows for easy fitting
  • Available in 7 sizes
  • Machine washable at 30°C
  • Supplied as a single sock, not as a pair
